At Howards we have developed a comprehensive safety plan, and employ an independent Health and Safety Advisor to advise and monitor our procedures.
Neil Howard (Company Director) has successfully completed the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Site Managers Health and Safety Certificate.
All core personnel undergo Health and Safety Awareness Training and are made aware of their rights and responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (S7) and the Management of Health and Safety at work regulations 1999 (S3).
Our staff are trained in the following areas, First aid (Full and appointed first aiders)
Aluminium tower errection/dismantling (PASMA) training -Elevated platforms (IPAF) training. As a company Howards operate a training programme for its operatives and staff through both in-house and external courses.
Howards BRC act as principle contractor under the CDM regulation 2007. Regardless of CDM criteria, comprehensive health and safety plans are drawn up for every project, this to include for risk assessment, method statements, COSHH assessment etc to ensure that all standards are maintained.
We continue to monitor and assess all of our Health and safety procedures, so as to maintain our record of “zero” major incidents since 1987.
